The H-manufacturers offer a 10 year product warranty, which means a warranty beyond the responsibility the seller has, in accordance with common rules in the consumer sales law.
The warranty applies to products made from:
- Laminated soft wood
- Laminated soft wood with aluminum exterior finish
The warranty includes:
Insulation glass is covered by warranties against:
- Condensation between window panes
- Function faults for product fittings
- The stability and durability of the materials
The warranty implies that the H-producer:
- Delivers new glass panes in case
- When condensation comes into being between the window panes
- Replaces products with fittings with poor functioning
- Delivers new products when they cannot be repaired
The warranty does not cover:
- Costs of labour in cases of exchange or repair of damaged product beyond 5 years
- Costs of possible scaffolding, cranes or other aids, which are necessary for repairing the damage
- Consequential damages or other work, which must be carried out, such as paint work, wall papering etc which is necessary in connection with the warranty work
- Damages caused by strange objects which have been mounted on the products
- Wear or damages to the weather stripping caused by stain/paint or solvents
- Locks and other product fittings which were not included in the delivery
- When the product is being delivered, with finished surface treatment, the surface treatment itself is not covered by the warranty
The following is required in order for the warranty to apply:
- The products must be stocked and mounted in accordance with the recommendations from the manufacturer and detailed building datasheet for NBI
- The products must be given normal good maintenance. This also applies to products being delivered fully surface treated from the manufacturer
- Products delivered as unpainted/untreated must be surface treated as soon as possible after delivery
- The surface treatment must be checked annually and repaired if necessary
- All products with fittings and movable parts shall be checked regularly and be greased/oiled as needed
Generally:
- The place of purchase must be documented, by means of invoice or other proof of purchase
- All claims shall be in writing and the information the producer requires must be presented
- In case of defect product(s), the claim must be presented within a reasonable period of time (maximum 6 months) after the defect being detected or ought to have been detected
- If a claim is not being presented in time, the right to advance the claim is lost
- The warranty covers all products delivered after 01.07.2002
- The warranty is in force from the date of invoice to the producer's customer
